You say that for managing your photos you use digikam instead of darktable and use darktable just for processing. I have noticed that the darktable tagging mechanism is cumbersome and not so good compared to other programs I have used that have tagging/keywording (Lightroom, ACDSee Pro, Adobe Organizer, etc.). ![]() Also, I have been playing with Linux Mint a bit on an old laptop. I have been using Lightroom for more than 6 years (currently LR Classic CC). I have been playing around with darktable 2.4.2 (Windows version) to try to get a bit familiar with it. The best thing is getting away from Windows and its needless complexity and susceptibility to malware. There is no such thing as selective editing in Rawtherapee. Very happy with the change to Darktable, DigiKam and Linux - and don't image ever going back. A major difference is that Darktable has masks and Rawtherapee doesnt.
